Interferon provides non specific immunity. It main function is viral infections regardless of type A group of proteins produced early on in a viral infection. Interferon are the first line of defence of our immune system. Interferon stop viral replication. If our body cell is infected by a virus, it will releases minute amounts of interferon, which then attach themselves to neighbouring cells. This will prompt those neighbouring cells tos tart producing their own protective anitviral enzymes.

The results is impariment of the growth and replication of the atttacking virus. Interferon also kick starts other parts of the immune system. Interferon also has anti-tumor effects.

Interleukin is a group of proteins. It functions as chenmical messangers between cells. It ativates the “killer” activities of specific white blood cells in the immune system. Interleukin also regulates cell growth and is particularly important in stimulating immune responses, such as inflammation.

You may not realize it, but the Immune System works 24 hours a day, every day of your life protecting you from all sorts of sickness, disease, and ultimately death. In fact, as soon as any living organism dies, the Immune System immediately stops functioning and the organism is subject to all manner of parasitic invasion. When you stop to think about it, it is truly amazing how the Immune System functions at not only keeping you alive, but also in perfect health.

The Immune System consists of a number of different organs and components. The main components of the Immune System are the Lymph System, The Thymus, Hormones, Bone Marrow, The Spleen, Leukocytes (White Blood Cells), Antibodies, Complement, Tonsils, and Adenoids. Together these components work together to ensure that the Immune System is working in proper order and defends the body against foreign invaders.

Skin is often the body’s first line of defense against foreign invaders such as germs, viruses, and bacteria. The immune system is just like our army. In war, the stronger army wins against enemy; otherwise the weaker army quickly succumbs to invasion of enemy.

Hence, it is the same way our immune system works. When germs attack, a healthy immune system instantly fights against invaders. Only when our immune system is malnourished or weak, we will fall sick seriously or even die from infections.

Take the example of two people exposed to the same flu virus. One falls seriously ill but the other doesn’t. Although they face the same viral threat, only the person with a weak immune system becomes sick with the flu, while the other with strong immune system recover much faster.

Bacteria, viruses and other microbes are always blamed by Scientists for causing a lot of illness. But if we think deeply, all these enemies are usually helpless against a strong immune system. A strong immune system army defends us from infections.

Here, I would like to suggest you that let’s sit down and think carefully, if we have a strong immune system army, we can easily overcome enemy and not so easily get sick. So, should I blame those enemies causing us sick or we should be the one to blame not take care of our own immune system army?
